| Customer Reviews: remote wont work September 4, 2010 monica I bought this because I lost my remote to my old DVD player. This one the remote just wont work. I was sent a replacement but it is the wrong one and doesn't work getting very frustraited
Not bad. December 29, 2009 Erik Pagan 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm still in the process of testing it, but everything seems to be working as advertised. I didn't realize there is no HDMI, but I don't have a high definition tv so that doesn't really apply to me anyway. I have tried playing AVI files off of discs and it works fine. I also tried plugging in an external drive directly into the USB port provided and all folders containing media were accessable with ease. I just started using it and it seems to be working fine, but if it starts falling apart in the next couple of weeks I will be writing a new review in a diffferent tune.
Not worth it December 24, 2009 F. Oquendo (San Antonio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Lets begin with the obvious: No HDMI; for $10.00 less I got myself an HDMI ready, brand new player with just about the same features. Remote control is huge; 80's style. The card and USB reader can only work with certain flash readers...so be prepare to search and try different brand of flash memory to use.
Now the most serious issues: I bought this DVD player and placed it in an exercise room to use and view an exercise DVD program, which contains 13 DVDs. The DVD player skiped or freezed every fifteen or twenty minutes. At first I thought there was a problem with the disc, so I cleaned and reinserted the disc and got the same result. I then tried different discs with the same result. I tried original movies discs, recorded discs, music discs and so forth with no luck. All those discs I tried work exceptionally well on my $39.00 DVD player, which is HDMI ready, plays DVI files and upconvert all movies.
I don't recommend it.
