1 out of 5 stars Region Free?   July 18, 2010
N.O.
This item suddenly stopped working after 4 months bought in new condition.
We had been enjoying region 1 & 2 DVDs till yesterday, but the machine suddenly stopped taking DVDs and started showing the message "Incompartible disc region number Can't play disc" on any DVDs which we used to play with no problems.
And also we have noticed a symbol of region 4 on the back panel of this machine. What does it mean? It was able to play region 1&2 many times, and suddenly stopped working...then the mark shows "region 4"???? How tricky it was!
Is this region free DVD player or NO?
Please do not trick us decent customer who simply wanted to enjoy region 1 & 2 DVDs.

Wow,imaging a dvd player ripping mp3 to a memory stick without the need for a computer.features easy to use.usb for music, karoke easy to use just touch a button.plug in for mike, has a shinny new look , display basic needs little fancy touch and the player would of been complete if it had a tuner features.great for compatible with a house amp.

4 out of 5 stars Great value   June 14, 2010

can't get any cheaper for a multiregion DVD player - I play mostly DVDs from Europe - they work. This doesn't work in Japan for Japanese DVDs - as stated everywhere else. Not tried the Karaoke - but that's not why I got it really. Lots of features I've not tried yet - very thin, lightweight - so won't be moving it about much.

4 out of 5 stars Great player   May 27, 2010

DVD player really does play multiregion DVDs - we've used it for US, UK and Australian region discs and it works great. Includes AV composite cable and batteries for the remote!

4 out of 5 stars Pioneer Avi playback hic'up   May 3, 2010

It does what it says for the most part, I have yet to do the karaoke (probably never will), but the divx/avi playback is the reason I bought it for. It does do it good on a few ones I have but the others it make the screen flip, I was think of giving it back but since it does the USB stuff so well, I decided it wasn't something to get too mad at. So 30 days in and it's good not great, so now if anything goes wrong I will do an update.
