I seldom write reviews unless the item is either an extremely good value or an extremely worthless piece of junk. This is the latter. It purports to be rack mountable, and it is, marginally. The rack mount kit consists of two flimsy pieces of sheet metal with only one slot for mounting to a rack, not the bracket shown in the product picture. Next, the unit will not fit in 1U, it is almost 1/4 inch too tall. If you remove the glued on rubber feet, it will almost fit, but the mounting ears won't line up with a 1U space unless you turn them over and attach them backwards to the way they are labeled and shaped.
The next interesting item is that it says it can connect to a TV/Monitor by VGA, Component Video, Composite Video of S-Video. This might be true, but it will not connect via VGA until you connect it by one of the other methods first and wade through the menu to set the video output to VGA.
This unit is supposedly a "professional" DVD/MP3/VCD/DIVX/CD/CD-G player, but there is no way to turn off auto play, so, when you load a disc of skip a track, it automatically starts playing without any option to cue up.
It is often said in these reviews that "you get what you pay for". In this case that is not true. By it's overall quality and functionality, this unit should be selling at Walmart for about $14.95.
