I bought this CD for my niece for Christmas, to go with the karoake machine we got her. She totally loves the CD.

Miley Cyrus does NOT do the singing on this CD, either the vocal tracks or the instrumental (karoake) tracks as the backup singer. It sounds totally different than the soundtrack CD, which I also own. Also, "Butterfly, Fly Away" as well as many others from the soundtrack CD are not on this karoake CD. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I am new to the Karaoke thing but I did not realize that this wouldn't be Miley Cyrus singing it.

If you have girls, they probably like Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and other pop music. Most girls also love to sing so this CD is a must-have. I'm a mom and I even like the songs from this movie! The Climb, Butterfly Fly Away, Dream, Don't Walk Away, etc are all great songs to sing. Hoedown Throwdown is especially fun with the dance that goes along with it. I like that the instrumentals sound like the original songs. I do wish that they had included Crazier (performed by Taylor Swift in the movie) but oh well, this is still a winner. Add this to your karaoke collection for the next sleep-over or birthday party!
