Honestly the only reason i bought this was for Allisons duet with Adam, but i was plesantly surprised when i heard all the tracks. :)
so i didnt watch Idol last year but i did see a few episodes and i loved Allison! lol anyway
Kris and Dannys Duet i thought would be horrible but it was awesome!!!!
Adams song was amazing! (of course)
Kris song was ok nothing was great or horrible.
Danny was great considering im not a big fan of country music, but i really loved his version of the song.
and Allisons and Adams duet was AMAZING! it didnt let me down at all!! Adams and Allisons voices mix amazingly!!! The only thing i would change to this CD is that i wish they added Allisons top 4 performance but other then that I would deffintly recommend this CD, but try not to buy offline cuz 12.99 isnt worth 5 songs instead go to Wal-Mart and pick you up one! Theve Re-stocked them, I guess cuz ppl will buy the AI Season 9 Cd =) anyway i hope this helps =D

This was really fantastic. They all did such a good job. Even though Adam was really good, he sounded too much like the old Rock and Rollers (Queen, etc. doesn't take much to scream) he did a bit too much of it for me, an old Rock & Roller. Danny was really good since I am really into the oldies and I was really looking forward to his upcoming album, unfortunately his new album is country, which is good but I want to see more of his oldies style. I hope to see them all in the future.

This 5-song EP is a collector's item for fans of AI S8. The EP contains 3 solos by the top 3 guys of S8 (Kris Allen with Ain't No Sunshine; Adam Lambert with Whole Lotta Love; and Danny Gokey with What Hurts The Most) as well as 2 wonderful duets by Kris & Danny (Renegade) and Adam & Allison Iraheta(Slow Ride). The sound quality is perfect! The EP opens with the duet of Kris & Danny (Renegade)after which we hear the top 3 guys singing one after the other and showing off their singing chops which made them land in the top 3 and then finally ends with the duet of Adam & Allision. AI fans especially of Season 8 should own this 5-song EP together with the official AI S8 cd which features Kris, Adam, Danny and Allison as well as the other finalists of this memorable AI season.

There is only one reason why I got this album! Adam Lambert's rendition of "Mad World". I cannot think of any performance on American Idol over the past 6 seasons that I've watched that I like as well. I've heard the original version years ago, and THIS performance and arrangement blows it out of the universe!! My jaw dropped when he performed Mad World!! If he plays his cards right, he will eclipse every Idol winner from the show's inception! I don't care what his sexual orientation is. He is a master singer and a genius at musical arrangements!

I find it amazing that Adam Lamber did not win the American Idol last season. Listening to this CD just reminds me of how much better he is than the rest. His preference in partners does not matter to me at all. It's all about the music and ability and he has it above the rest.
